Robert Chamberlin

Robert Chamberlin is an Artist currently living & working in Fredericksburg, VA. Chamberlin has been working with porcelain for the last 15 years and he delights in pushing the envelope of beauty and good taste. Using porcelain both for its beauty and stunning qualities of translucency and is equally fascinated with the materials history of western desire.

Chamberlin graduated from Georgia State University with a BFA in photography & holds a MFA from SMFA/Tufts University in Boston. Since receiving his MFA Chamberlin has taught at Universities and art centers on the east coast. Chamberlin has shown extensively throughout America and has received a Peter S Reed Grant, SMFA Traveling fellow, Idea Capital grant and has been published in the Boston Globe, Burnaway, Emergency Index: An Annual Document of Performance Practice, the Daily Free Press, Art News, & Pottery Making Illustrated.
