Paula McIntosh

Paula McInosh is an artist whose work centers on hand-printed cyanotypes created from her own photographs, with a particular focus on botanicals, landscapes, and the Lowcountry.

Each cyanotype begins as a photograph and is transformed through the slow, hands-on process of traditional cyanotype printing. Exposed by the sun onto cotton rag paper and developed in Prussian blue, each piece carries its own subtle variations in tone, texture, and edges. No two prints are ever exactly alike. Paula’s years working in interior design taught her to layer and edit with intention—an instinct that continues to shape both her creative practice and her approach to living with art. 

Paula has found a lasting creative connection to Charleston, where she has lived for the past fifteen years. The city’s historic architecture, gardens, tidal marshes, live oaks, and ever-changing light serve as an enduring source of inspiration for her work.
