Flourish | A Duet Exhibit feat. Pavni C. & Kristin Shearer
We’re thrilled to share Flourish, our first exhibition of the new year, featuring works by Pavni C and Kristin Shearer. As we step into a fresh season, Flourish sets the tone for what’s ahead—growth, renewal, and the quiet confidence that comes with beginning again.
Rooted in bold color, intuitive mark-making, and a shared sense of movement, the works in Flourish explore what it means to thrive. Though their approaches are distinct, Pavni C. and Kristin Shearer meet in a space of vibrant energy and thoughtful composition. Together, their works create a visual dialogue that feels both grounding and uplifting—alive with possibility. We couldn’t imagine a better way to begin the year!

MEET THE MAKERS

Pavni C.
Pavni is a contemporary US based artist focused on painting mesmerizing abstract botanicals & landscapes.
She states, "I am a self-taught full-time artist for past 5 years. I share my studio between Colorado and Mumbai, India. During the global pandemic, the reassuring continuity and cycle of nature became completely absorbing for me to watch and draw them growing up, crowded together, bloom and die, and being replaced with the new. Slowly I started looking at my backyard for inspiration.

My work has evolved over the years focusing on botanicals. I love to travel, and my series of artworks are a celebration of nature’s beauty. Each of my pieces is a unique blend of botanical markings, signature patterns and a breathtaking array of bright hues. I paint on cotton and linen canvas mostly with oils, acrylic and graphite mainly. For small works I paint on handmade papers too. My art is an invitation to explore, discover and connect with the beautiful world around us."

Kristin Shearer
"I’ve explored my love of painting on and off throughout life, declaring as a child that I wanted to be an artist when I grew up. “Becoming an artist” wasn’t a well defined direct path, so into real estate I leapt after graduating from The University of Georgia and moving to Atlanta.

Painting as an outlet has evolved into a small and passionate business. My work is mixed media - paint, charcoal, colored pencil, collage, and almost anything else I can find, often playing with texture and color to create a moment in time that visually expresses an emotion.
Fascinated by interior design and the relationships people create with the spaces they thrive in, I aim to create pieces that feel personal and intentional in the homes they find."

"Flourish" will be on display through the end of January. We welcome you to join us for a closing reception January 30th from 5-7pm at 1640 Meeting Street Rd, Suite 102 Charleston, SC 29405. We look forward to seeing you there!
