"
This piece mirrors a role I've carried with me since the age of two, when I became a big sister. The pale, luminous fragments of oksa and silk reflect the part of me that carries the expectation to be full of light, to lead by example, to stay composed and capable. The small, dark patch is there to interrupt the harmony. It holds the imperfections - the tender, humanness that lives inside every role we identify with. Together, this patchwork honors the quiet complexity of carrying both light and shadow." - Mariah Bintliff
