Proceeds from Brook's contribution to our show 'Statement Pieces' will go directly to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society in honor of survivor, Liza R. Patterson.
At 5 weeks postpartum Liza was diagnosed with Primary Mediastinal Large B-Cell Lymphoma - a rare and aggressive blood cancer which created an 11cm tumor in her chest. It was pressing on her heart and lungs, and suppressing her superior vena cava, making it difficult for her to breathe. She began chemotherapy that night.
Liza is currently campaigning for she Visionary of the Year for the Lowcountry Chapter of the LLS.
