We are seeking a part-time Gallery Associate as we expand our efforts to provide a space for everyone to experience and collect contemporary art! ⁠

Gallery Associate Job Overview:

This role has the potential to grow into a full-time position. The Miller Gallery is more than a gallery with beautiful things, we're a space for people to discover new ideas and experience the joy of art. Our artists are the foundation on which our small business is built and we think they deserve the best representation possible. ⁠

⁠We want our new team member to be kind, able to work with all types of people and personalities, and willing to learn about our growing roster of artists. Punctuality, attention to detail, availability to work in the gallery on Fridays and during in-person events, and a minimum of one or two years of customer-facing work experience are essential. Gallery experience is a plus, but not a make or break. Good email + phone etiquette, honesty, and a healthy work ethic are musts. ⁠

  • 3 days a week, Wednesday - Friday: In-Person at our Upper Meeting St. Location
  • 10:00-4:00p + exhibit openings, sporadic local client installations before or after work if necessary and events in gallery space. 
  • 18+ hours per week

Responsibilities include:

  • Responding to client inquiries via email, social media and phone
  • Packing and shipping artwork safely
  • Organizing and managing inventory
  • Photograph and edit artwork when needed
  • Managing and uploading the inventory online via Shopify
  • Social media management (posts, stories, reels)
  • Client consultations as needed
  • Local artwork deliveries
  • Drop off packages at UPS or USPS
  • Assist with special events and open shopping hours
  • Day to day gallery up-keep
