The Miller Gallery’s take on Pantone’s 2024 color of the year | Peach Fuzz

Every year, we look forward to Pantone’s selection for color of the year. In 2024, the honor goes to Peach Fuzz 13-1023, with The Pantone Color Institute declaring our need for compassion and human connection in the year ahead.

The selection “is a velvety gentle peach whose all-embracing spirit enriches heart, mind, and body.” - Pantone

"In seeking a hue that echoes our innate yearning for closeness and connection, we chose a color radiant with warmth and modern elegance. A shade that resonates with compassion, offers a tactile embrace, and effortlessly bridges the youthful with the timeless," said Leatrice Eiseman, Pantone's executive director.

"At a time of turmoil in many aspects of our lives, our need for nurturing, empathy, and compassion grows ever stronger as does our imaginings of a more peaceful future. We are reminded that a vital part of living a full life is having the good health, stamina, and strength to enjoy it… We needed a color whose gentle lightness and airy presence lifts us into the future," said company vice president Laurie Pressman.

While there have been a range of reactions to the selection, we are personally thrilled here at The Miller Gallery, and have a feeling our artists will be too.
